Hey, Bats!

Up late again...but that's because it's the 1 year anniversary of when I started writing LOVEHATE! It's wild that the album took 7 months to actually finish, and even wilder that it's already been a year since I wrote one little song that turned into something...well, huge. 2024 was a literal disaster of a year for me, but one of the good things that came out of it was getting to make this album. It was one of the things that kept me going, and watching all that work come together was one of the coolest feelings ever. Plus, emotional hell does make for great art. So!

On the subject of music, I've decided to put that cover I mentioned on hold. I might completely redo it, I might let it sit for a bit longer. But I've been easing back into writing music, so hopefully I can get back into releasing some of my own stuff soon. If anything does come out, it's probably gonna be a single or two during the summer.

Last thing: remember to hydrate and take a bit out of your day/night to take care of yourself. Remember, you matter. It's gonna be okay.

Hey, Bats!

Surprise, I'm back! Sorta. Finally found motivation and inspiration to start making a new song. It is a cover though, but I thought it'd be fun to pull together nonetheless (and slightly easier than writing lyrics). It's sounding pretty good so far—so good, in fact, that I'm sharing a snippet right here! Not sure when it'll be done, but here's hoping soon. I can't wait to see how it turns out!

That's about all I've got for now. But I'll keep you posted on my progress!

This year has frankly been ass for a lot of people, including myself. But with a new year comes new crazy shit to happen. And a lot of new music! I hope to get some new material out...eventually, if I can ever catch a break. Unlife has not been treating me well.

I know that this year holds some more shit to throw at us, but damn it if I'm not going down swinging. And I advise you all do the same. Keep fighting. Keep thriving. And be nice to your fellow person.

Feeling...not the best right now. Things have been tense since the beginning of the month for pretty obvious reasons, if you're in the States. I've needed to take some time to mourn because of it. But seeing as we have just under a month and a half before shit really hits the fan, I say we enjoy it while it lasts. And no matter what, we never stop fighting for our right to live as we are. One of the big things they can't take away from us is hope.

And if the planet doesn't boil itself into space stew before this is over, we can laugh in the faces of everyone who thought they could shut us up.

We may have a bit of an issue. Turns out I didn't account for the 4-per-day publishing limit and now the album's all out of order. But not to worry; it's in order and ready to go on YouTube! Er...it will be, in about 3 minutes.

Happy All Hallows' Eve...Eve, Bats!!

Just under four hours to go until the album drops—and until the spooky season reaches its peak! I'm PUMPED. I can't wait to share the album with you; it's the biggest project I've done in a while. And I think it's turned out FANTASTIC!!!

I'm gonna release it here and on my YouTube, but not on any streaming services just yet. I tried to find a good distribution service and all of 'em kinda rub me the wrong way. Guess that's what I get for being in the music industry. But hey, what can you do? As long as I get to do what I love and share it with folks, I'm happy as a clam.

On another note, what are you ghouls' plans for Halloween? I know I'm gonna read some spooky stories and scarf down as much candy as I can. Which...probably won't be a lot, considering how little is blood-based, but maybe that's a good thing. My teeth are mad enough at me as is, hah!

Hey, Bats!!

Just finished another song—that means there's only one left to go! I already have a few lyrical concepts and a cool riff I came up with a few days ago. I'm excited to see where they take me. And I cannot wait to get this album out!!

Although, I will say I am....absolutely exhausted. That's what I get for trying to see if caffeinated blood is a thing. (Also, I never even drank coffee in life and as a result I think my heart's started back up.)

So, I'm probably gonna head to bed. Coffin? Still never figured out how to phrase it. Point is, if you're still up and about after a long night, I recommend you also go grab a drink and get some rest.
